Wiz kid joins the Toolbox Creative team— August 3, 2009

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Monte Mitchell joins graphic design and marketing agency Toolbox Creative as the firm’s new junior designer and all-around whiz kid.

This is the second new-hire announcement for Toolbox Creative in as many weeks, demonstrating the agency’s growth and its commitment to meeting the needs of its rapidly expanding client base. “We’re bursting at the seams,” said Toolbox Creative co-founder Tom Campbell as he describes their commercial office space in the Cherry Street Lofts located at 325 Cherry Street in downtown Fort Collins. “Our growth is a testament to the strength of our clients and other local businesses. Running out of office space because we’re staffing up is a great problem to have in today’s economy.”

Mitchell is a member of the creative team at Toolbox and is responsible for developing design concepts and executing solutions. He specializes in print design, Web design and illustration. Mark Fetkewicz, the head of the design department at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), was instrumental in securing an internship for Mitchell at Toolbox in 2008. That internship turned into a full-time job for Mitchell, who is knocking design projects out of the park for clients like Bohemian Nights, DW Design Group, Bas Bleu Theatre Company and Laramie-based Coffey Engineering and Surveying. “Monte has a good head on his shoulders and he’s full of talent,” said Campbell. “He’s got what it takes to have a great career in design.”

Mitchell also has a minor in English from UNC, which adds to his skill set. “So when our writers are busy we can ask Monte about the proper use of a comma or semi-colon,” said Campbell. “And he’s always more than eager to tell us where to stick it.”
