It all started as a fun “little” project. We had no idea how much fun it would be to promote every season from 2008 to 2014.
The summer before every season, Toolbox’s designers conceptualize five unique posters for each of the performances — interacting directly with the performers and directors to get to the story behind the scenes.
The Toolbox team expanded the design of the marketing materials to include an event calendar on every piece to help patrons remember to set a date to attend. And they did.

The result: In 2012, the Art Directors Club of Denver awarded the Bas Bleu season brochure a Silver Award in the print advertising category.
Ticket sales are way, way up over last year. We like to think the most eye-catching posters in town had a little something to do with that.
