UniPixel was looking for a partner to help with a brand refresh and messaging to tell the story behind their industry-leading performance engineered films.
UniPixel is a Silicon Valley-based company that develops performance engineered films for the touch sensor and flexible electronics markets. It creates products to help customers leverage their industry-leading patented circuit design and thin cover lens design to build lightweight, thinner tablets and laptops. The team came to Toolbox with a request — UniPixel didn’t want to look like all the other tech companies — they wanted to push the boundaries of typical technology marketing and develop a brand that would make them stand out from the crowd.
Toolbox took a look at the competition and saw a lot of the same ol’ same ol’ — marketing materials filled with charts, screen captures and TONS of engineer-friendly copy. If photographs were used, they were typically standard stock photography (how exciting!). We came up with a logo that played off the company’s product and reflected its key benefit — flexible, durable electronics and touch screens.
UniPixel stands apart from their competition in the United States and Asia. They recently received an initial mass production order from a Japanese PC manufacturer, living their dream of helping PC manufacturers create devices that are thinner, lighter, faster and more cost-effective to produce.
